Your account manager will call you to gather key pieces of information, including the type of clinician needed, start date, duration of the need and your budget parameters. If you’re planning for a future need, we recognize you may not have all of this information locked down yet.

We’ll leverage HPS’s extensive database and network of qualified candidates to locate highly skilled, pre-screened clinicians qualified and available to fill your need. We’ll show you CVs and other critical information for your review.

Once you’ve selected the locum tenens candidate(s) you’re interested in, we can coordinate interviews with you and your team, if desired. Interviews can occur over the phone or in person and give you the opportunity to get to know your candidate, so you can make an informed decision.

After you’ve had a chance to evaluate your candidates, simply let us know which professional you’d like to add to your team.

Congratulations! Once everyone has agreed to move forward, we’ll assign an HPS placement expert to serve as your liaison between your credentialing department and the locum. This ensures your organization’s process goes as smoothly as possible and that we’re ready to go on day one!

While the contracted clinician is on assignment, you’ll only pay HPS your pre-agreed upon amount.

  • If you’re using a contract professional, you save on overhead costs associated with things like medical benefits, retirement plans or medical malpractice insurance.
  • If you’re hiring the candidate directly within your organization, you’ll pay HPS the pre-agreed upon amount once we’ve confirmed their hire.
